Penalty Registry

A record of imposed administrative penalties to support enforcement transparency.

Administrative penalties (AP) may be issued to individuals, contractors, or businesses following site inspections by TSSA. Multiple administrative penalties may apply to a single location. 

Below is a record of administrative penalties imposed by TSSA for applicable contraventions.

Notes for the table: 

  • Each row represents one AP Order.
  • AP Recipient: name of an individual, contractor, or business entity.
  • Status:
    • Paid: AP has been paid.
    • Unpaid: AP has not been paid and is currently being collected.
    • Upheld on Appeal: AP was appealed and upheld by the Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT), regardless of any change to the penalty amount.
    • Refused on Appeal: AP was rejected by the LAT.
  • Date Resolved: the date when the AP was paid, a LAT decision was made, or the AP was deemed resolved when no appeal was filed within 30 days after the penalty was imposed. Unpaid penalties will be referred to collections. 

    Note: In rare cases, resolution dates may be adjusted if the LAT accepts a late appeal due to improper service.  

  • Amount: the penalty amount imposed based on the recipient type or LAT decision.
  • Address: the street address of the device for which the AP is imposed.
  • Device Number: the TSSA Inventory Number linked to the elevating device involved.
