Raymond J. Mantha Ray Mantha joined TSSA’s Board of Directors in June 2024 and is a member of the Governance and Human Resources Committee.
Ray worked in the Ontario Government for 34 years where he held two Assistant Deputy Minister level positions, most recently at the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines. Prior to that, Ray held progressively responsible positions at the Ministry of Transportation, culminating in his appointment as Chief Engineer where he developed and managed a broad range of policies, standards, specifications and investment strategies for Ontario’s highways and ferries.
Ray recently completed a four-year term as the Executive Director of the Transportation Association of Canada Foundation.
He currently is an executive member of the Science North Board of Directors and serves as its Chair of the Business Affairs Committee. He is an executive member of the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers Board of Directors and serves is its Treasurer.
Prior to joining the TSSA Board, Ray was an external member on the Morrison Hershfield, Consulting Engineers, Board of Directors for eight years serving as Chair for three of those years.
Always a dedicated volunteer, he has devoted his time and passion to many NGO’s; notably the YMCA, locally, nationally and internationally, Engineers Canada, the Transportation Association of Canada and Rotary International.
Ray is a professional engineer and became a Fellow of Engineers Canada in 2009.
