Safety Awards

The Technical Standards and Safety Authority’s Safety Awards Program recognizes significant contributions to public safety in Ontario.

Working together for a safer Ontario today and tomorrow is a shared responsibility.

That’s why we created the annual Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) Safety Awards Program. Our awards recognize people and organizations that have made significant contributions to public safety in Ontario.

Nominations are submitted to TSSA by external stakeholders in the first half of the year. We then honour the recipients at the TSSA’s annual public meeting, held in the fall.

Award categories

Two award categories recognize acts and initiatives that enhance public safety for Ontarians.

Impact Awards

Impact Awards highlight significant contributions to safety in Ontario that go above and beyond regulatory compliance.

Legacy Awards

Legacy Awards recognize people or organizations that have demonstrated a conscientious safety history over time.

Submit a nomination

TSSA is calling for nominations for Safety Awards 2024. Submit a Safety Awards Nomination Form to safetyawards@tssa.org by June 3, 2024. For more information, read the Safety Awards Brochure
