Gas-, propane- and oil-fired equipment and components may only be installed in Ontario if they bear a certification mark of an approved certification body.
Certification marks for gas-, propane- and oil-fired equipment can be applied by a certification body accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) where a nationally recognized standard exists. Below are the most common certification or approval marks for gas-, propane- and oil-fired appliances in Ontario.
“C” – when used refers to approval for Canada. “US” – when used refers to approval for United States. |
