The Technical Standards and Safety Authority sets the mandatory training and certification requirements for working in six regulated industries in Ontario:
Amusement Devices
Boilers and Pressure Vessels
Elevating Devices
Fuels
Operating Engineers
Ski Lifts
Training providers must be accredited by TSSA before they can offer training programs in TSSA-regulated industries. Accredited training providers must have subject-matter expertise and practical experience in the areas for which they will provide training.
Individuals or organizations seeking accreditation must submit an application via the Client Portal to TSSA and meet curriculum requirements outlined in the relevant policies and procedures.
